Portland Psychotherapy provides services through the lens of a specialized form of cognitive-behavior therapy called Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and their services include individual therapy, relationship therapy, as well as many classes and groups. Cascadia Behavioral Healthcare has several locations throughout the east side of Portland, and provides services including comprehensive assessment and treatment planning, individual and group counseling, case management, skills training, consultation, supported employment, supported education, medication management, parent-child therapy, family counseling, and more. They offer evidence-based, multi-disciplinary treatment for people of all ages with mental health, addiction, and dual-diagnosis issues. Western Conexiones is a team of bilingual (Spanish-English) mental health providers who offer multicultural counseling at many locations throughout Oregon and Washington. They offer individual, couples, family, and group therapy, as well as psychiatric evaluations and medication management in both English and Spanish. Good Samaritan Ministries Counseling Services is a faith-based nonprofit organization; their location in Beaverton offers donation-based counseling to individuals, couples, families, children & adolescents, and groups. The Libertarian Institute with a Portland office on SE 78th & Stark offers both in-person (when safe) and Telehealth (phone or Internet based) counseling for adults, youth, children, families, and groups. Lifeworks NW provides mental health services with many locations all throughout Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties. Their services include include residential and outpatient programs for a variety of issues, especially children, youth, and adults with severe mental illness and substance use disorders. They also provide 1:1 counseling for a variety of issues, parent-child interaction therapy, and family counseling. Sliding scale options are available for many of these services, provided only to those who do not have insurance and who do not qualify for OHP or General Funds (grants offered by the county based on household income). Sliding Scale College & University Clinics with Services Offered by Graduate Students (and external clinics that host these students):

Lewis & Clark Community Clinic offers a sliding scale of $5 – $75/session and works with individuals, couples, and families. Fees waived for those financially impacted by Covid-19. The PSU Community Counseling Clinic provides low-cost individual, relationship, and family counseling, including services for children and adolescents, for $15/session, which can be negotiated lower. Sessions are with counseling graduate students, and are either supervised live through a one-way window or recorded for supervision. The Pacific University Psychology & Comprehensive Health Clinic offers individual, family, and group therapy. They see patients covered by OHP, or for self-pay clients, use a cost-of-care determined Federal Poverty Level guidelines. Sessions range from $18 – $47 for those who qualify. The National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) clinic offers mental health services to the community, and to make an appointment, clients first need to schedule a primary care appointment with one of their naturopaths who can then refer them to counseling. Sessions are conducted with pre-licensed graduate students from both NUNM and Pacific University, with whom they have a partnership. Family Ties Counseling Center offers services specifically targeted to parents & caregivers, couples with communication and other difficulties, and individuals struggling with anxiety and depression because of relationship issues. They offer individual counseling, relationship/marriage counseling, child & family therapy, counseling for teens, child-parent psychotherapy (for ages 0-5), and group counseling for men. The practice of Dr. Sanderson and Associates offers sessions with pre-licensed counselors at the Masters and Doctoral level for $0-$50/session, pay-what-you-can. Services offered include individual therapy, group therapy, and psychological assessment. Allies in Change is a non-profit social activist organization and psychological services center. They offer individual, couple, and group counseling, anger management, and parenting classes at reduced rates for clients who work with doctoral students. Locations are in SW Portland, NE Portland, and Oregon City.
