Light of Awareness Somatic Psychotherapy

I offer individual somatic psychotherapy (including Somatic Experiencing ®) for adults to find support, insight, growth, and healing.

MY CASELOAD IS CURRENTLY FULL AND I AM NOT TAKING A WAITLIST AT THIS TIME. PLEASE CHECK BACK HERE ON MY WEBSITE, AS I WILL POST ANY CHANGES TO MY AVAILABILITY HERE.

  • Are you ready for personal growth/self-actualization?

  • Are you ready to truly create a loving relationship with yourself?

  • Do you have trouble letting yourself relax and nourish, to keep what you do sustainable?

  • Do you want to know yourself better (why you have certain reactions, sensitivities, or limiting beliefs, and how to support growth and healing)?

  • Do you need help setting boundaries and communicating clearly and effectively in relationships?

  • Do you need support in knowing what you need and accessing how you feel?

If you answer yes to at least one question, we may be a good fit!

  • Do you have somatic symptoms you want support with?

  • Do you have longings you would like to manifest?

  • Would you benefit from support navigating a life transition?

  • Would you benefit from processing one or a few isolated traumatic incidents to bring safety, empowerment, nervous system regulation, and completion? [At this time I do not offer support for Complex Trauma (when trauma has been pervasive, throughout the lifespan in different ways, especially throughout all of childhood)]

Allow me to support and guide you to experience embodied change you can feel.. (instead of just think about)

Virtual & Limited In-Person Therapy

Shining compassionate light on your experience is the first step to bringing healing and change. Once we shine this light, transformation is already in progress.

Allow me to facilitate your process through bringing light, warmth, and non-judgment, along with an eclectic mix of therapeutic tools, including Somatic Experiencing®, to all the parts of you and your experience- the challenging and supportive, each so deserving of attention.

Somatic Experiencing ®

Somatic (Body) Psychotherapy treats the whole person, integrating body, mind, emotions, and spirit, enabling you to do deeper more meaningful work in less time with more lasting results. I work with the breath, movement, inner body sensations/awareness, and access the right-brain through symbolism, intuition, & imagery. Somatic Experiencing® teaches you to track and attune to your nervous system to regulate, release trauma, empower, and attend to needs and nervous system states effectively.

Hakomi

Hakomi is grounded in five principles: mindfulness, nonviolence, organicity, unity and body-mind holism. We support defenses that may arise and see them as important protectors, trust and follow what is arising in your mind/body/spirit with no agenda, and explore what arises using experiments that offer real change experiences in the present moment.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness invites us to focus on sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to notice the signals of the body, mind, and emotions. This helps create space from habitual patterns so we can feel choice, freedom, and empowerment. Mindfulness also can provide relaxation and stress reduction.
